Cyrix reported increased revenues and a net loss for the fourth quarter ended December 31, and for 1996 as a whole. The quarter's revenues were $72.1 million, up 84 percent from the same period last year. In the quarter, Cyrix lost $4.5 million, or 23 cents per share, compared to a $9.9 million loss, 49 cents per share, for the same period last year. Total 1996 revenues were $183.8 million, down from $228 million in 1995. The company had a 1996 net loss of $25.9 million, or $1.33 per share, compared with net income of $15.6 million, or 78 cents per share, in 1995.
