Short Take: 3Dlabs settles STB suit
Graphics chipmaker 3Dlabs has settled its lawsuit with STB Systems of Richardson, Texas. The comapnies have agreed to an out-of-court settlement of the pending litigation between the two parties, although the terms of the settlement were not disclosed. In August 1998, 3Dlabs filed a lawsuit charging STB with breach of contract for failure to pay 3Dlabs for chipsets purchased. STB filed a cross-complaint in September 1998 asserting a number of common law and statutory claims against 3Dlabs.
