3Com rolled out a new version of its Transcend Enterprise Manager network management software for the Microsoft Windows NT operating system. Previously, the package ran on various Unix flavors. The company announced support for the RMON2 protocol for remote monitoring techniques within the Traffix Manager performance monitoring application and the new ability to allow 3Com management applications to be viewed from a Web browser. The new enhancements are available immediately.
