Short Take: 3Com buys Internet consulting firm

Network equipment maker 3Com today purchased Internet consulting firm Interactive Web Concepts for an undisclosed sum. Interactive, based in Mountain View, Calif., is a private firm with 40 employees. 3Com has recently focused on improving its consulting services to help businesses go online. 3Com last week invested $100 million in USWeb/CKS and recently partnered with Unisys.
