Short Take: 3Com and USR continue merging

3Com and U.S. Robotics will proceed with their proposed merger following the expiration of the waiting period mandated by the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act. The companies expect to complete the merger by June after they officially receive stockholder approval and SEC review of proxy materials and foreign antitrust review.
