The Wall Street Journal announced that its online edition has more than 150,000 subscribers who pay for the service. The news organization began charging subscription fees for access to its Web site one year ago and currently boasts the largest circulation of any paid subscription Web site. An additional 15,000 subscriptions are paid for through promotional partnerships and a program for college students.
