Apple Computer said it is readying a version of its QuickTime multimedia software for IBM's OS/2 Warp desktop operating system. The company will ship a pre-release version of the software with IBM's Developer Connection OS/2 development tool package later this fall. Apple said earlier this month that it plans to port the QuickTime application programming interface to Windows, OS/2, and Unix operating systems. QuickTime for OS/2 will include a movie player, picture viewer, online help, and a configuration manager.
