SHORT: ParcPlace-Digitalk earnings
ParcPlace-Digitalk (PARQ) said it expects a second quarter loss of between 35 cents to 45 cents per share on $10 million to $10.5 million in sales for the second quarter. The loss excludes a $3 million one-time charge related to an acquisition. The company also said it is cutting its workforce by 20 percent and expects to take a another charge to pay for the layoffs in the third quarter.
