Oracle plans to add a Java interface to its entire client-server business application lineup by next spring. The interface will allow the applications to be reached via Java-enabled Web browsers. Companies that already use the applications will be able to deploy Java client access without rewriting the code, said the company. Oracle is also working on an electronic commerce server system, called Project Apollo, to allow businesses to conduct transactions with customers and transfer resulting order forms, inventory, and accounting data into company databases.
