Novell today annouced its GroupWise 5 client/server email and groupware engine, throwing down the gauntlet to competitors Lotus Development and its Notes and Microsoft and its Exchange Server. GroupWise 5 includes traditional office functions and Internet capabilities in its one-stop mailbox system.
The company also focused attention on long-awaited collaborative features that allow for threaded email conversations and information sharing. Pricing for GroupWise 5 remains unchanged from the previous version, starting at $718 for a 5-user license.
