Lightspan Partnership, who provides educational interactive media and links schools, homes, and communities to the Internet, disclosed it has received $20 million in financing. The investors include Accel Partners; Comcast; Institutional Venture Partners; Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; Microsoft; and Tribune. Proceeds will be used to boost Lightspan's development and marketing of educational content for school districts nationwide. Lightspan has contracts with over 100 school districts.
