Sharp announced it will begin selling a wide-screen television in Japan that gives viewers Internet access on October 1. The TV will connect to a telephone line, and users will navigate with their TV's remote control. The TV has a 28.8-kpbs modem built in, along with browser software; users will have email as well. Internet access will be provided by Infowave.
