Cerulean Technology and AT&T Wireless Services announced a
partnership to bring a wireless online information network to patrol
officers. Officers will tap into motor vehicle and driver information from
laptop computers in their cruisers using Cerulean's PacketCluster Patrol
software and AT&T's Wireless Packet Data Service network. Officers will be
linked to local, state, and national law enforcement databases. The system
also includes Computer Aided Dispatch and Automatic Vehicle Location
capabilities.
