Short: Caldera offers OpenLinux to small businesses

Caldera announced a three-tier strategy to offer different versions of its Linux-based operating system targeted at small businesses and local area networks called Caldera OpenLinux (COL). The base COL platform can run on all Microsoft Windows machines and now includes increased Internet and intranet functionality as well as expanded networking support. The COL base product will ship next month for $59. The workstation version will be available by the end of the year for under $300. The server platform will be available next year for under $1,500.
