Short: Autodesk ships MapGuide

Autodesk is shipping its MapGuide, a Web-based geographic information system that uses the Internet and intranets to deploy live updates of maps and data. Through a Web browser, MapGuide users can zoom in on a map and automatically display more detailed information matching the scale of view. The MapGuide Server contains multiple layers of maps and has access to multiple databases. MapGuide uses a Netscape Navigator plug-in to connect users to a live client-server system.
