SFII, other classic games land on Xbox Live Arcade
It's been all quiet on the Xbox Live Arcade front for a while -- until now. Microsoft has confirmed that every Wednesday until 9 August, a classic retro game (as well as a brand new title) will be released on Arcade.

And they're not your obscure retro type of game either. Between now and 9 August, Frogger, Galaga, Pac-Man and (our personal all-time favourite) Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting will be released for purchase and download through Xbox Live.
One game each will be released at approximately 5pm EST over the next month. Pricing for each game differs, with SFII the most expensive at 800 Xbox Live points (roughly AU$13).
The full release schedule is:
- 12 July -- Frogger (400 points)
The beloved Konami classic arcade title. Gamers will once again dodge traffic, eat flies and steer clear of crocodiles - this time racking up Achievements along the way - 19 July -- Cloning Clyde (800 points)
The innovative new action adventure/puzzle game from by Wahoo Studios, developer of the popular Outpost Kaloki X for Xbox Live Arcade. Cloning Clyde brings its wacky, classic animation style world to Xbox 360 - 26 July -- Galaga (400 points)
The legendary space shooter from Namco. First released back in 1981, Galaga returns with a new online multiplayer function, enhanced graphics and all new game modes - 2 August -- Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting (800 points)
The immortal 2D fighting game for the ages combines the signature features of Xbox 360 and Xbox Live to create the definitive Street Fighter experience - 9 August -- Pac-Man (400 points)
The fruit-eating maze game that changed the face of gaming upon its release in 1980. The Xbox Live Arcade version, which comes out on August 9, takes the famous franchise to the next-generation. With multiplayer over Xbox Live and tons of cool Achievements, Pac-Man stays true to the original while powering-up to next-gen standards.
