The Saygus V2 (pronounced V-Squared) smartphone, which caught our eye earlier in January at CES 2015, will be available for preorder the week of January 26. Interested buyers can register to purchase the device through Thursday, January 29, 11:00 a.m. PT. The exact pricing will be released the same day, but the handset is expected to cost about $600 (which converts to around £395 and AU$755).
Equipped with a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera, two microSD card slots that total up to 256GB of expandable memory, and waterproof construction, the V2 was an obvious smartphone standout during the conference.
Its other offerings include a fingerprint scanner, a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with optical image stabilization and a 3,100mAh battery with wireless charging capabilities.
The Utah-based company estimates that the GSM phone will ship out globally beginning the first quarter of 2015 after the preorder window closes.
