Flash cards are big business.

SanDisk on Thursday reported that fourth quarter revenues jumped 37 percent to $751 million over the same period a year before. That also represents an increase of 27 percent over the third quarter of 2005. Net income rose to $134 million from $78 million the year before. The results passed expectations.

For the year, revenue for fiscal 2005 came to $2.3 billion, up 30 percent from the $1.8 billion in sales in 2004. Net income rose 45 percent to $386 million.

The company has been one of the fastest growing small companies in tech for a few years now. Chalk it up to the popularity of digital cameras and MP3 players.
