SAN storage sales up
Worldwide sales of Fibre Channel storage products increased 13 percent last year to $1.46 billion, according to a report released Tuesday by research firm Gartner Dataquest. Brocade remained the market leader, accounting for 34 percent of sales, followed by McData and Emulex. Fibre Channel products are used for storage area network (SAN) systems, high-end storage systems that store data in a centralized network.
