Samsung's Gear Icon X cord-free earbuds will go on sale in the US on August 15. As previously announced, the headphones will retail for $199.

The Bluetooth-powered earbuds, which were first introduced last month, include a wireless-charging case.

Battery life is estimated at about three hours on its own as a fitness tracker and music player, or an hour and a half when paired and streaming from a phone.

The announcement was part of Samsung's "Unpacked" event in New York, where the new Galaxy Note 7 was unveiled.
