Samsung unveils details of Chromebook
Samsung hosts event after Google I/O that provides further details about the new Chrome-based laptop announced at the Google developer conference today.

SAN FRANCISCO--Samsung is one of two Google partners to sell the very first Chrome-based laptops starting this summer.
Sundar Pichai, senior vice president of Chrome at Google, announced the new Chromebooks at the Google I/O developer conference on Wednesday. Samsung and Acer are the first companies to be selling the new laptops that use the Google Chrome operating system.
Pichai shared a few details of the new Samsung Chromebook, which will go on sale at Amazon.com and Best Buy stores starting June 15. For example, he said the Wi-Fi only version will cost $429 and the 3G version will cost $499.
But Samsung is expected to share loads of more details about its new Chromebook this evening at an event here.
