It seems as though all the phone manufacturers are taking convergence very seriously, including Samsung. The Ultra Music F300 is an innovative dual-faced device that has an MP3 player on one side and a mobile phone on the other.
The Ultra Music only measures 9.4mm thick and yet crams in two separate LCD screens, an FM radio and a 1.3-megapixel camera. It feels light to hold and the MP3 player and phone functions are straightforward to use.
In order to listen to music or make calls, you press a button on the side that switches you from phone to MP3 player or vice versa. You can store all your music or photos on a microSD card and the Ultra Music supports stereo Bluetooth so that you can listen to your music wirelessly using a compatible headset.
While it's not in the same league as the Apple iPhone in terms of overall features, we really like this phone because it's thin, light and makes listening to music and making calls relatively easy.
Samsung couldn't give us a date for a UK release or even confirm whether it will come to the UK, so keep your fingers crossed. We'll keep you updated with more information on the Ultra Music as we get it. -AL
