The Samsung t609 may not look like much on the outside, but behind its bland exterior is a decent multimedia offering. With features such as a 1.3-megapixel camera and camcorder, an MP3 player, a streaming media player, e-mail, and EDGE support, the t609 is certainly no slouch. Plus, it comes with 32MB of internal memory, as well as a TransFlash card slot for more storage. The t609 clamshell has an external 96x64-pixel four-grayscale and an internal 176x220, 262,000-color TFT screen. This quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) phone also has Bluetooth, voice recognition, and a speakerphone. It supports SyncML, a standard that will synchronize personal information, such as a calendar and an address book, to the carrier networks, plus transfer it to other SyncML phones if desired. It's expected to be released in Q1 of this year.
