The Olympic edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge rings with the spirit of the Games.

Samsung

You don't have to be able to outswim Michael Phelps or dash as fast as Usain Bolt to have the same phone as an Olympic champion. Samsung is selling the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Games Limited Edition on July 18 in countries including the US, Brazil, China, Germany and South Korea.

This variation on the S7 Edge brightens up its look with an icon of the Olympic rings on the phone's back and some blue and yellow accents along the camera mount, home button and speaker grille. You'll also feel the Olympic spirit through a image on the Always On display (more rings), on treatments inside the phone and through the official Rio games app, which you can use to track your favorite sports.

This is the same phone Samsung's giving 12,500 Olympians this summer at the Rio Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. (Samsung is also readying another model for the 2016 US Paralympic Team.) Samsung will have just over 2,000 fan phones for each market, but didn't share how much the limited-edition handsets will cost.

It's not the first time this summer that Samsung splashed out with the Edge. Last month, it released the Batman-themed Injustice Edition, which comes with, yep, you guessed it, an icon of the famous Bat on the back.
