The long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S5 is one step closer for British phone fans, available to order in the UK on 28 March.

British phone fans can pre-order Samsung's new flagship Android smart phone in the UK in just over two weeks, on Friday 28 March. The S5 hits shops around the world on 11 April.

At the moment you can register your interest and request email updates from samsung.com/uk, but Samsung has yet to name a price for the 5.1-inch phone. The S5 packs a quad-core processor and 1080p screen with KitKat software, fingerprint and heart rate sensors, and a waterproof exterior.

UK networks including EE, Three and Vodafone have confirmed they will sell the S5 on 3G and 4G contracts. Retailers including Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4U and Samsung stores will also sell the S5.
