Ain't no cure for the summertime blues -- but the new blue Samsung Galaxy S4 might cheer you up.

The new lighter blue version of the S4 -- Samsung calls it 'arctic blue' -- is now on sale at Phones 4U, both in shops and online. It's a fetching royal blue, rather than the darker, purple-er original model.

At the time of writing there's no link to buy the blue phone yet, but it's promised for today.

The S4 is also available in white.

Phones 4U sells the S4 on a range of contracts from all the major networks. You can even get it for free on contracts starting at £37 per month.

Landing on shop shelves in April, the S4 has done boffo business to help Samsung to another record profit in Spring. The phone has also inspired a slew of spin-offs: the fun-sized S4 Mini; camera-focused S4 Zoom; and rough, tough S4 Active.

Flashy colours are the new black in the smart phone world. After years of Apple-aping monochromatic blowers, the Nokia Lumia range brought colour back in a big way. HTC is getting in on the action with a red version of the HTC One at Phones 4U, while even Apple is reported to be planning a coloured iPhone.
