Is this how the Samsung Galaxy S3 will shape up? What appears to be the manual for the Galaxy S3 has surfaced at SamMobile, which outlines the specs. It leads me to another question: is this the first time anyone's actually looked at a user manual?

The manual -- if it is real -- lists some interesting specs for the hotly anticipated sequel to the Galaxy S2. It's got a quad-core chip, as confirmed by the company, but Samsung said the chip will be a 1.4GHz Exynos Quad 4, while the purported manual reads 1.5GHz.

It's also bigger than expected, with the AMOLED screen measuring 4.8 inches. That makes it closer to the sizeable Samsung Galaxy Nexus than the rival iPhone, which is starting to look pretty dinky by comparison.

Other specs listed in the leaked manual include an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. It shoots 1080p high-definition video, and also plays back 1080p movies and TV. As you can see, the much debated physical home button has pride of place.

The purported S3 also features a barometer, in case you need to know what the weather's like and you can't be bothered to look out of the window.

More and more hints are appearing about the S3's final form. This week it's appeared in Samsung software Kies, while an official app seems to have confirmed the S3 name.

We've seen some dodgy attempts at fabricating purported 'leaked' photos, and if this is a fake, then it's a clever approach -- a line drawing being easier to fake than a photo.
