Images appearing to show two new Samsung Galaxy gadgets have appeared online, ahead of the company's big "Unpacked" event scheduled for Monday.

Not much detail can be discerned from the image above, which comes courtesy of serial leakster @evleaks, on Twitter. The product names given in this also-tweeted (lower-resolution) image are interesting though. While a follow-up to the Galaxy Gear was hotly anticipated, what exactly the Galaxy Gear 2 Neo is -- well, that's anyone's guess, for now, but perhaps it's a cheaper version of the Gear 2, with more basic specs.

CNET's full coverage of Mobile World Congress

We'll know before long, however. Samsung is sure to reveal a host of new tech -- likely including the longed-for Galaxy S5 smartphone -- in just a few days, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. In the meantime, let me know what you think the Galaxy Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo could be. As always, the comments section is the place to have your say.

Update: Another tweet from @evleaks reads, "I misspoke. Those watches are not Galaxy-branded." That might imply that the watches, if real, aren't powered by Android. If they're not relying on Google's mobile operating system, Tizen could be another possibility.
