Similar in looks to the iPhone but a fraction as pricey, the Ace has plenty to offer, including thousands of free Android apps and an incredibly good battery life.

Except for its low-resolution screen and no Flash player, this smart phone is unlikely to disappoint you. Trim, light and responsive, the Ace is already in shops, including Carphone Warehouse, where it's available for free on a £15 per month, two-year contract. On pay as you go it'll set you back a reasonable £300.
