Fans of Samsung's lower-cost phones may have an early look at next year's Galaxy A3 and A7, thanks to some alleged renderings leaked by well-known mobile tipster OnLeaks, in conjunction with Indian tech blog MySmartPrice.
Samsung's Galaxy A line is a cheaper alternative to its premium phones, and competes against budget buys from other phonemakers, such as the Motorola Moto G4.
The images and video, above, show the two devices as rather indistinct black, rounded rectangles that sport USB-C ports and headset jacks.
A7 specs are speculated to include:
- 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display (up from 5.5 inches)
- 16-megapixel camera
- 32GB and 64GB storage options, with 3GB RAM
- 3,600mAh battery (up from 3,300mAh)
- Fingerprint scanner (a first for the A series)
- Water resistance (IP68)
The A3's supposed hardware is hazier, but expect a smaller device with less formidable hardware.
When asked about the renderings, Samsung declined to comment.
