SAM robot headed for assisted-living facilities to keep an eye on granny (Tomorrow Daily 403 show notes)

With elderly populations booming and long-term care facilities understaffed, SAM aims to take some of the non-medical burden off providers' plates.


Our population is getting older, and with that comes all sorts of challenges for medical providers, including a lack of staff to look after seniors in long-term care; however, a robot named SAM is hoping to help nurses and doctors by providing check-ins and basic visits to patients.

We're also taking a look at Abe Davis' Interactive Dynamic Video demo using Pokemon Go. This could change the way smaller movie studios work, in that this technology/technique is cheaper and requires less computing power than traditional CGI.
