Rumors about AT&T HTC Fuze spreading like wildfire

Rumors of an AT&T-branded HTC Touch Pro, called the HTC Fuze, start to grow as more pictures and carrier documents on the smartphone show up on the Web.

Is this the AT&T Fuze? The Boy Genius Report

While Sprint customers are just pleased as punch now that they finally have their HTC Touch Pro, AT&T subscribers are wondering when they'll get the same privilege. Well, if the rumors are to believed, it could be as early as November 11.

The Boy Genius Report got its hands on some internal AT&T documents stating that the carrier's version of the Touch Pro, dubbed the AT&T HTC Fuze, would go on sale November 11 for $299.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate. BGR also posted some photos of demo units arriving at stores, to further fuel the rumors of an impending release. As far as specs, it looks like the Windows Mobile 6.1 device will share many of the same features as the Sprint Touch Pro, but obviously quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900) and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA (850/1900/2100).

Though we don't have any official confirmation from AT&T or HTC, and we're a bit weary about the release date, we're fairly confident that the device will make its way to the carrier. AT&T's other business-centric smartphone, the AT&T Tilt, is reaching the end of its life cycle, and the Fuze would be the best replacement. We'll keep you posted, and in the meantime, you can check out our full review of the HTC Touch Pro for Sprint to get a general sense of the smartphone.
