RSA teams with Oracle on security
The online-security company and the business software giant join hands to offer enhanced user-access protections in Oracle's latest application server product.
Online-security company RSA Security on Tuesday joined hands with Oracle to enhance the user-access protections in Oracle's business application server software. RSA's ClearTrust software will support , a key component of Oracle Application Server 10 that allows for "single sign-on," letting workers enter one username and password to gain access to several applications. The RSA deal will let companies use the same authorization for Oracle applications and for applications protected by ClearTrust. ClearTrust is designed to let companies centrally manage user identities, authentication policies and user privileges.
The growth of e-business has increased the number of users accessing diverse applications on company networks. The combined Oracle-RSA security setup helps ward off the risk of users laying hands on unwanted information, the companies said. Apart from having better and cheaper control over networks, administrators can use the new security product to define access levels for individual users.
