Rovio is planning to launch a new title that could take aim at Mario Kart.

The company on Tuesday posted a video to YouTube teasing a new kart-racing game, called Angry Birds Go. The video didn't provide any in-game footage, but teased what gamers might expect from the title when it's eventually released.

With this latest revelation, Rovio appears to be taking a decidedly Nintendo-like path. Nintendo had its major franchise, Super Mario, but soon branched out to other genres. One of its most popular affiliated franchises over the years has been Mario Kart. Angry Birds Go appears to be Rovio's version of that gameplay.

There are currently no concrete details on Angry Birds Go, including when it might launch or what it'll look like. Rovio plans to announce full details on the title "soon."
