Roku has announced the launch of Sky News on its Roku streaming platform with both live broadcasts and on-demand content directly on TVs.
The service delivers live 24-hour news coverage to Roku customers in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland in addition to an "extensive" on-demand news library.
"Sky News offers award-winning news coverage from the U.K. and the rest of the world, and we are thrilled to make their programs available to our customers," said Steve Shannon, Roku's general manager of content and services in a press release. "Sky News is a great addition to the Roku Channel Store as we continue to expand our leadership in the news category."
The addition of Sky to Roku comes just weeks after it was added to Apple TV as well.
