New jackets inspired by Jyn Erso, Capt. Cassian Andor and Death Troopers let Star Wars fans keep out the cold while showing their excitement for the upcoming "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."
The limited-edition jackets from Oregon-based Columbia Sportswear not only double as stylish casual cosplay, but also presumably can withstand the kind of weather only tauntauns can usually tolerate.
The Jyn Erso Rebel Jacket is made from heavy cotton twill and features leather-like details on the sleeves. The quilted, insulated vest can be worn on top of the jacket or separately. The garment retails for $400 (about £314 or AU$538).
The Capt. Cassian Andor Rebel Parka features a hood with detachable faux-fur trim. The parka also includes a genuine leather Rebel Alliance patch. It retails for $500 (about £393, AU$673).
The Imperial Death Trooper Jacket takes direct inspiration from the Death Trooper's intimidating armor, with an Imperial logo that shows allegiance to the dark side. The jacket retails for $450 (about £354 or AU$605).
The three jackets are available in limited quantities, on Columbia's website and in select retail locations in the US starting December 9. They join a universe of other Star Wars-related fashion that includes dress suits for men, dresses, skirts and leggings for women and even fancy footwear.
Directed by Gareth Edwards, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" hits theaters on December 15 in Australia, and December 16 in the US and UK.
