Waiting for 17 September to arrive so you can finally get some Grand Theft Auto action? Well, we can't do anything about that.

But we can ensure that you're still pumped with the "Official" trailer from Rockstar.

Why official? We're not sure — in just over a minute it sets the scene and gives us both a good look at our three protagonists and at Los Santos.

The "official" blurb from Rockstar describes them thusly:

Franklin, a street hustler looking for real opportunities and serious money; Michael, a professional ex-con whose retirement is a lot less rosy than he hoped it would be; and Trevor, a violent maniac driven by the chance of a cheap high and the next big score.

It's been a long time coming, but between this and the incredibly ambitious GTA Online, it's hard not to get excited about this.

GTA V has been rated R18+ in Australia for Drug Use. You'll get it on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
