The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is filing a set of lawsuits against students trading files on Internet2, the super-high-speed network used for largely for research purposes on universities. The suits, to be filed Wednesday, will target 405 students at 18 different colleges, but for now are not aimed at the operators of the i2Hub file-swapping network, the RIAA said.

According to the RIAA, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) will be announcing similar action later today.
