Revolutionary new CMOS tech from U of R

The Digital Photography Weblog found a news article at the Aussie Digital Photography Blog (yes, a different blog) regarding an impressive new CMOS technology created at the University of Rochester. This new CMOS technology is more sensitive and less power-hungry than conventional CMOS designs, thanks to some extremely clever transistor design, circuit layout, and mathematics involving cosines. The new technology doesn't yet have a commercial adopter, but it still represents an impressive jump in digital imaging.
