If you're in the market for a rental house in Los Angeles, look no further. This two-bedroom cottage brings you all the creature comforts of Middle-earth in the middle of the City of Angels, Culver City.

The house is called The Hobbit's House, and features several details both inside and outside that look like they could have been pulled right out of Bilbo Baggins' home in The Shire.

The house was designed by a 1940s-era Disney artist named Joseph Lawrence, and has the same sort of intricate woodwork and stone finishes we saw in Hobbit houses in the "Lord of the Rings" and "Hobbit" movies. And the ponds and lush greenery that surround the abode are a nod to the vast array of plants and wildlife found in The Shire.

The Hobbit's House is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom abode that has a gigantic living area with a stone fireplace for hosting all your second breakfasts, elevensies, luncheons, dinners and suppers.

You can rent The Hobbit's House for a mere $2,595 per month (about £1,648, AU$3,045) by responding to the rental management agency's ad on Craigslist. Visits from the great Gandalf are not included.
