Red Hat hires president of India operations

Veteran of Novell and Microsoft will run Red Hat India, guide division's expansion in that market.

Red Hat has hired Nandu Pradhan, a veteran of Novell and Microsoft who most recently was a vice president at Symphony Services, to be its president of Red Hat India. Pradhan replaces Javed Tapia, who will serve on Red Hat India's board of directors, the company said Wednesday.

India is one of the "BRIC" countries--Brazil, Russia, India and China--where technology companies see markets ripe for expansion.
