The rumours were true after all: Google's Nexus 5 now comes in a cherry red finish.

Leaks emerged last week from US carrier Sprint that pointed to a red edition of Google's flagship smartphone arriving on 4 February. Just in time for Valentine's Day, the Nexus 5 is available in Australia, Canada, US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Korea.
Running Android 4.4 KitKat, the red version of the Nexus 5 is available at the same cost as the monochrome finishes. That is, AU$399 for the 16GB and AU$449 for the 32GB version. At the time of writing, according to the listing on the Play Store, the red version is available for shipping in 1-2 business days to Australia.
However, stocks may not last long. When the Nexus 5 first launched in Australia at the end of last year, buyers faced delays as the handset was listed as out of stock soon after launch. You can read the CNET review of the Nexus 5 here.
