The technology behind the University of Florida's first Brain Drone Race allowed students to use brain waves to control drones. Future work could lead to disabled patients controlling their wheelchairs with their minds.

Also, Norwegian engineering company Kongsberg Maritime has made a gigantic robotic sea snake, finally completing that "robot nightmares" bingo card we've been holding onto for a while.
