The e-mail infrastructure was built before people had to worry about what's being sent and who it's coming from, a Microsoft manager says.

In a story about Sender ID and other technologies meant to boost the public's confidence in e-mail, a Microsoft strategy manager said that e-mail is not what it used to be.
