Progressive Networks unveils WebActive

Progressive Networks will unveil a new site via an online press conference today at 10 a.m. PT. The site, dubbed WebActive, is a weekly publication and includes articles about ongoing activist projects.

In a bid to attract readers to its new site, Progressive Networks is hosting a live online press conference today at 10 a.m. PT.

The site, dubbed WebActive: What's New in Activism Online, is a weekly publication that offers activists resources to find organizations and individuals with similar interests on the Web. The site also includes articles about current activist projects.

The press conference will take place exclusively on the Net and will allow participants to review an activist project involving rock group Pearl Jam and hear an interview with consumer advocate Ralph Nader. Participants need at least a 14.4-kbps modem and RealAudio software.
