Prodigy Kids Hit Chat Camp

"Hello Mudder, hello Faddah, here I am at Camp" Prodigy? This summer, Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m., you can send the kids to Prodigy Chat Camp without lifting a finger.

Staffed by online counselors, the Chat Camp will offer a chance to talk about theater, trivia, pets, comics, science, genealogy, and creative writing. The camp sessions will also stress online safety education.

Each subject will be repeated in the same time slot each week so that kids can log in to their favorites. According to Prodigy officials, the camp sessions are averaging up to 30 campers for each activity.

The program is free to Prodigy subscribers and will run through September 1--just in time for back-to-school shopping.
