Prodigy Enhances Web Browser

Prodigy officials said today they will bolster HTML support within the service's Web browser and offer Netscape Navigator to subscribers in 1996.

In a bid to move ahead in the online service war, Prodigy today added enhancements to its Web browser and said it will offer Netscape's browser early next year.

The new browser will let users view Source HTML code online and see the HTML tags used to create a home page. Prodigy is also adding browser background images and text color.

Other features include new ordered list options that let users display lists in Roman numerals and change font sizes. Additional memory and speed enhancements should also improve performance when users access large documents and forms.
