Preview.app cannot properly handle Greek letter "mu"

Martin Rocek reports that the greek letter "mu" in symbol font does not display or print properly in Preview, but displays and prints correctly in Acrobat Reader:

"I found this problem by generating an eps file and converting it to pdf. I used xfig under X11 to generate the eps file, and ps2pdf to generate the pdf file. I viewed the same pdf file using Preview and Acrobat Reader and ran into the bug.

"The relevant piece of PostScript is:

• /Symbol ff 270.00 scf sf
