It's been a while since we've seen a pink phone. Actually, it's only been two weeks, but we can't lethog all the pink light. It seems that other mobile phone manufacturers are cottoning on to this cultural phenomenon and pinking it up too.
Samsung and Vodafone are set to launch the exclusive pink Samsung SGH-Z500 and they're even throwing in a pink Bluetooth headset. However, underneath the pink and silver case lies 50MB of internal memory, a microSD memory expansion slot, a 1-megapixel camera, 3G support and video calling capabilities -- so it's not pink over substance.
The Bluetooth headset, which also comes in pink, has a 10m range and keeps you looking co-ordinated during those 'Should I buy these Blahniks' moments -- at least that's what the press release says. Honestly. We're not making that up.
You can get the pink Samsung Z500 and pink Plantronics headset in pink Vodafone stores from April and is available free on the pink Anytime 200 tariff upwards. Expect a full, pink review soon. -AL
