Accounting software marketer Peachtree Software has announced a $129 package designed to let small businesses create Internet storefronts quickly, easily, and inexpensively.

Peachtree Business Internet Suite allows small businesses to take sale orders over the Net, review the orders, and automatically place them into their accounting system.

"Small companies find it much too difficult to do business over the Internet," said analyst David Coursey, editor and publisher of Coursey.com. "I've seen any number of Web site builders, but this is the first that automatically enters orders into your accounting system."

Peachtree Business Internet Suite consists of six modules: a tutorial, Web site creation software, Internet access with Web browser, an electronic storefront that integrates with Peachtree's Windows software, PeachLink order processor, and email.

The Web site creation software comes from electronic commerce specialist Harbinger (HRBC), which also will host Web sites for Peachtree Internet customers. Harbinger runs a secure private network for automated electronic data interchange transactions.

The package, available in November at retail outlets, includes free Web hosting and five free hours of Internet access for the first month. After that, access is optional for $9.95 per month for five hours, with additional hours charged at $1.99 each.

Domain-level Web hosting is available for $79.95 a month, with a one-time fee of $150 for domain name registration. There are no additional fees for processing online orders.
